Why Add a Resource Video?


If you wish to upload a video to the Center’s website, please fill out the information on the left and click the upload button.

Popular formats for videos read by our website:

       AVI - Many downloaded movies, most digital cameras, and some professional equipment uses this format
      MPG/MPEG - Some downloaded movies, and some digital cameras use this format
      MOV - Older Mac videos mostly, and some digital cameras
      MP2/VOB - DVD videos, but only if they're unencrypted [i.e. not made in Hollywood]
      FLV - Flash video format, many downloaded movies, and nearly all streaming video. minimal processing necessary for playback
      3GP - Cellphone video format
      WMV - Some downloaded movies, some home videos made with Windows

Videos uploaded to the website are reviewed by content experts and, if appropriate, are made available for distribution and viewing on our site. We encourage you to upload any videos that you think visitors of the Center’s site might be interested in seeing or using for inspiration, communication, or education. Don’t hesitate to suggest how we might use them. Our content experts will also make recommendations for use. For example, short videos with high public appeal may be sent to YouTube.  Most videos will be free and follow a standard terms of use that you accept prior to uploading.  If you have a video you wish to sell through the website, please contact our webmaster (webmaster@behavior.org) and she will discuss with you the procedures, our plans for sharing any revenue, and send you a contract.
