Biography: Bio Ali Pedego, Ph.D., BCBA-D Dr. Pedego is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level. She currently works as a Behavior Analyst for the Wellesley Public Schools. She has a Ph.D. in Special Education and Behavior Disorders from the University of Oregon, and a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from West Virginia University. She has over 30 years experience providing educational and clinical services to children and adolescents with severe challenging behaviors, in addition to providing training and consultation services to families, teachers, and other school personnel. Her experience includes work with children and adolescents with pervasive developmental disabilities, severe behavior disorders, and mental health issues. She has also worked with adjudicated youth and their families. Settings in which she has worked include public and private schools, mental health organizations, home, and residential placements as teacher, clinician, and consultant. Dr. Pedego has also spent a portion of her career conducting research and supervising graduate level students, in addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in a university setting. Consultation includes work with families and school districts, including program-wide consultation focusing on systems development. While working as a Senior Consultant for Melmark New England for six years, she developed ABA preschool, elementary, middle, and high school programs serving public school students on the autism spectrum in school districts throughout Massachusetts. Dr. Pedego has conducted numerous trainings on autism and applied behavior analysis for regular and special education teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, social workers, security staff, daycare providers, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and parents. She has been working in the Wellesley Public School District for the past three years consulting with regular and special education teachers, conducting school and home assessments and providing consultation to families.
