What Works in Education was featured in a Washington Post OpEd column by William Raspberry. Its nine chapters describe regular education and special education programs that have reliably produced outstanding results, as well as some specific procedures adaptable to most programs. Each program included in the monograph has been validated through solid scientific research. Most have been developed using a combination of field-testing, revision, and ongoing data collection to fine-tune educational decisions. Each has been found to produce consistent, predictable outcomes in a variety of settings, by a variety of independent researchers and educators. Each is readily available for use across a wide variety of settings and student populations.
The Center hopes to produce an updated version of this monograph, for already there have been many new developments since it was published.
