Welcome to the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies.
The Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies is a nonprofit,
charitable organization whose mission is to help people find effective solutions to
behavior problems by disseminating and interpreting behavioral research for the benefit of
those whose problems involve human behavior parents, teachers, doctors, counselors,
judges, engineers, and corporate executives. The Center is funded by membership
contributions and conference fees.
Many of the problems we face around the world today are problems of human behavior.
This site has been created by the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies to empower
people to improve the quality of their lives by understanding behavior and how to manage
and change it. The site also supports behavioral scientists by hosting the Behavioral
Virtual Community, an interactive meeting place for sharing resources, views, and
findings. Our goal is to make www.behavior.org the premier resource for information about
behavior.
The Cambridge Center relies on many dedicated professionals to bring you trustworthy,
verifiable information about effective ways to manage or change behavior in the home,
school, and workplace. This material, written by experts in behavioral science and
reviewed by their peers (many of whom are Trustees and Advisors of the Center) is based on
forty years of research, not on opinion or fad. Where appropriate, references to the
scientific literature are provided. In addition, Beyond the Data, contains peer-reviewed
commentary on current topics in the news.
Our site is based on frames, and the browser you are using
does not support frames. Check back in a few days -- we plan to accomodate "no
frames" browsers in the very near future.
