

Andy Bondy, Ph.D, has over 35 years of experience working with children and adults with autism and related developmental disabilities. He served as the Director of the Statewide Delaware Autistic Program for more than a dozen years. He and his wife, Lorie Frost, pioneered the development of the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). He has designed the Pyramid Approach to Education (with Beth Sulzer-Azaroff0 as a comprehensive combination of broad-spectrum behavior analysis and functional communication strategies. Dr. Bondy is the co-founder of Pyramid Educational Consultants, Inc., an internationally-based team of specialist from many fields promoting integration of principles of applied behavior analysis.

Tristram Smith, Ph.D., is an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). He serves as the research director for the Multisite Young Autism Project, which is a federally-funded study on early, intensive behavioral intervention based on the UCLA/Lovaas model for children with autism. He is also an investigator in a study in the Center for Studies to Advance Autism Research and Treatment (STAART) at the University of Rochester. He has authored or co-authored a number of the most widely-cited studies on treatment outcomes for individuals with autism spectrum disorders.
Kathleen Dyer, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, BCBA, is the Clinical Director of the river Street Autism Program in Connecticut. She has over 25 years of research and intervention experience in autism, and has collaborated with many pioneers of the field including Ivar Lovaas, Robert Koegel, and Andrew Bondy. She has been on the faculty of University of Massachusetts and Temple University, and is currently on the faculty of the Communication Disorders Department at Elms College. She has presented her research at national and international conferences, published book chapters, for encyclopedias, and articles in scientific journals. Dr. Dyer has participated in developing guidelines for effective autism treatment with the State of Connecticut.
Ann Filer, M.S., BCBA, is the Vice President of Educational Services at BEACON Services (Behavioral Education Assessment and Consultation, Inc.) where she has worked since 1994. She has a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts, Boston with certification in moderate to severe special needs, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Ms. Filer oversees implementation of Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention services for BEACON serving children with PDD/Autism. She provides direct educational and consultation services to early intervention programs and public school districts. Ms. Filer regularly presents at professional conferences and university training programs on topics related to early childhood learning and behavior.

Wendy Kozma, M.S., received her bachelor's degree at Eastern Michigan University in the education of deaf and hard-of-hearing children and adults, and has a master's degree from the University of Redlands in school administration. She specializes in teaching, teacher training and curriculum development and implementation. She is a member of the Association for Direct Instruction with more than 15 years experience training and implementing Direct Instruction programs. She is currently the Direct Instruction consultant of various education programs in Massachusetts and California. Locally, she works with the Evergreen Center in Milford, Massachusetts, consults with BEACON Services and oversees implementation of the "ELF" (Early Literacy Focus) Program for Criterion Child Enrichment.
